I'm not drinking the Kool-Ade on Lee is all. Double-doubles are nice, and 16 points IS clearly a force (on a Mike D'Antoni team? GASP!) but THAT'S pretty much his ceiling. It ain't worth $10 mill for 5 years. I think this is showing in the lack of interest we've seen.

Brendan, are you trying to make a living of refuting every single one of my articles? :) Two things though: Lee is, in fact, a double-double machine--he did it in 65 of 81 regular-season games last year--and he has already averaged 15 points a game (16 last year).

I have to say, I'm a Lee hater. Actually, how many people have you ever heard call themselves a "Lee Hater?" But it's true. My main problem is that there is essentially 1 dimension to his game- which isn't to say he doesn't have any depth in that dimension. He's a hustle guy, hits the floor, works for position to rebound, etc. Typically, that's a guy you LOVE coming off your bench or as, say, your starting 3, but at PF, Lee's a tweener who's basically maxing out what he can do as a "double-double machine."

Look at all the teams he's supposedly a fit for. He wouldn't be anything better than the 3rd best player on those squads. If you're Portland, do you really pay a guy 10 million to play behind LaMarcus Aldridge? I honestly don't know. Lee will never sverage 15 points a game, so I'm not sure who wants to make him a starting 4, even with his solid (not spectacular) defense.
