Thanks, Brendan.

I haven't read or seen much about Ariza talking about his deal. He's certainly in a position to cash in with his first big deal, but I would be surprised if he got $8 mill.

I think something in the $5.5-6.5 range would be more than reasonable for both sides - and if I'm a Lakers fan, the longer the deal, the better.

Nicely done, Andrew. As a Laker fan, I love Trevor Ariza and what he brings, but I am a LITTLE nervous that he played so well in a contract year- his first without any injury causing him to miss significant time. While he certainly is a very strong defender, he relies heavily on his athleticism to defend (like how he upgraded the Lakes' pick and roll D getting out to the perimeter to challenege Hedo and Lewis in the Finals.) It's a real possibility that he gets $7-8 million, sustains an injury, and is never quite the same...
