totally. it was a flagrant foul. period. even if he were thrown out of the game for that, the suspension into the next game is totally absurd. that wouldn’t happen to kobe, or wade, or any other marketable star. total bunk. and a definite lack of consistency.

I gotta agree that the refs should just let them play the more physical game. Think of the Bulls/Knicks of the early 90′s. Some of the greatest playoff battles of all time were based on the battles and war fare.

With that said though, I think if the refs are going to call the game tighter to cut down on what they consider to be excessive physicality, they need to do it more consistently to level the playing field.

For example, how does Derek Fisher get suspended for blowing over a pick, but Kobe only gets a Flagrant 1 for what the replays show was not an errant elbow to the throat of Ron Artest, but in fact an intentional one.

Sorry to be long winded, but to summarize…I don’t think any of the plays deserved any Flagrants…maybe an intentional foul at best..but if they suspend Fisher, they should have also suspended Kobe.

Obviously Stu Jackson on the Fisher play was focusing in on the fact that he turned his head, saw Scola, then proceeded to lower the shoulder.

FUC* ALL of you that say that Derrick Fisher should not have been suspended. I like the lakers as a team but they’re sneaky at times. Live by the sword, Die by the sword…and the lakers WILL!!!

let em play. this is playoffs basketball. call fouls when there are fouls, but lets just see which is the better team, not let stern and crawford decide it. this aint the wwf.
