I absolutely agree with everything you've said! For the life of me, I don't see how this can even be debated. When two players are that close statistically, I'll always choose the non Betrayal Skull Dude one.

Stupid thought: how about the Cavs trade szerbiak plus a pick or two for boozer...

Boozer is much better than given credit for by fans. Milsap is a fantastic talent and better bang for the buck. Yes carlos is oft injured, but the jazz are not in the western conference finals or playoffs with out boozer and milsap. Find a way to keep them both and you will find your way to a championship.

Well written!

I have to say, if it comes to one of the 2, I think it has to be 'Sap, no questions asked. I think the fact that he'll be cheaper will end up playing a huge role in the Jazz decision...

Totally agree! I'm a jazz fan and have watched Millsap since he first came into the league. While Boozer is a better scorer, Millsap can still get the ball in the hoop plus he's a WAY better defender than Boozer. I've always thought Boozer was kinda shady. We need to trade him. It's also a breath of fresh air knowing that Millsap purchased a house for his mother out here in Utah. I much rather support and cheer for a player who is excited to play for any NBA team (even Utah) rather than someone, in Boozer, who basically just commutes to salt lake from Miami and California.

Millsap is a restricted free agent. KOC said there is no question that they will keep Millsap

Brian suggested the following this morning, which makes all kinds of sense to me:

"Given Millsap's emergence and Boozer's mouth/injury history, I just don't see how he returns to Utah next season, outside of him deciding not to opt out. In fact, it wouldn't be totally shocking if the team floated him around the trade deadline to see what they could get in return. How about to the Thunder for Collison, salaries, and two of those five first-rounders they have (assuming Boozer agreed to a contract extension)?"

Ideally it would be great to trade Boozer for a decent starting 2 or a 3 and an expiring contract, thus giving us room to resign Millsap and getting some additional help in the starting rotation.

Someone like Raja Bell and Nazr Mohammed.

Or go another way and try for Tayshon Prince and Walter Herrmann.

Great write-up. I've come to appreciate Millsap's game more and more with the absence of Boozer from the line-up. His defense and hustle puts Carlos to shame.

I'd be shocked if they even gave an offer to Boozer. This is the same guy who screwed over the Cav's and pulled the same crap in his contract year. I fully remember because i had him on my fantasy team. He basically rested the whole season with a "hamstring" injury that kept him out of like 30 games. He's just here to get paid. He doesn't love ball like Millsap does, you can see it in the play of each of them. Paul does the little things a ties his hardest every time he steps on the court. Where as Carolo's just does it when it's convent for him. I don't think you want to have your franchise guy being a guy who's never played 82 games in his life. I think you give the young guy a chance with Deron, AK and Okur and you would end up with better team chemistry as well.
When it comes down to it and you would have to go to battle would you choose a guy who's been known to have questionable injuries and ethics or a guy who's given you everything he's got every time he's able to? I hope like me you've all chosen Millsap lets hope the Jazz do the same.

agreed agreed agreed. Can't stress how much I agree with this article!

I hope the jazz ship boozers selfish ass outa utah before the trade deadline. I'd go so far as to say a 1st round draft pick for boozer straight up would be worth it!
