Personally i think going after anthony is a good move. Say the pistons drafted anthony would he have had the same impact defensively? No and he wasnt at the level then to score forty a game like we are used to seeing. The pistons got the most out of their championship roster and now it time to make changee. The only thing im worried about is getting a good big to play along side of sheed and melo. just in case sheed has one of his fits.

I think allen iverson should go 2 the pistion or the lakers cause allen iverson is my favorite player and the only thing he is missing is a ring with the pistion or the lakers he can get one allen the best palyer alive

The Melo for Sheed and Prince trade was already rejected…They countered with a package of Iverson and Camby but Joe D said he’s only interested in Melo.

that is the best trade they should do that it would be better for both teams detroit would be better of corse iverson for billups the lineup would be pg-allen iverson

I think (but am not positive) that was before Joe D’s time… but it definitely is interesting to think about how different these Pistons would have ended up. Since they later traded Stackhouse for Rip Hamilton, well, we definitely wouldn’t have had Rip (obviously).

I still think A.I. would be a nice fit. He’s older but really hasn’t shown any signs of slowing down whatsoever. Amazing, really, considering the pounding that little guy takes every season.

yea i just remember it so well because we were so pumped….Allen Iverson! and then it was vetoed because of stupid Matt Geiger…I don’t remember if Joe D was the GM at the time or not….I think so? That would have been a great blockbuster to start off the decade, who knows how it would’ve changed things

the trade was voided because of matt geiger, not jeff foster….not positive if it was a failed physical, or just a no trade clause in his contract….would’ve loved to have gotten A.I. 8 years ago as a Pistons fan, but today I”m not so sure…
