Chauncey is the heart and guts of the Pistons, even more so than Dumars who behaved like a spoiled baby by blaming the whole team when Sheed took a dump in game six against Boston. I guarantee you that if Chauncey goes then it will be a cold day in hell before the Pistons make it back the the Eastern finals, let alone the NBA finals. Mark my words.

I agree, Wallace and Billups should me shipped out and keep the others. I like the Elton Brand scenario and I hope it pushes through. Brand is the low post threat that they need and also the defensive presence that they have sorely missed since Ben Wallace went to the Bulls.

I think it's likely that Sheed and Chauncey will be traded, but to separate teams. Why work something out involving Billups to Miami for the #2 pick and Wallace for a young big? That said, I like scenarios #2 and #5, but Joe D would be foolish to get rid of Hamilton.

I would like #5 if we could get a PF that could score. We need a low post presence AND a rebounder in the same body. Sheed is (sometimes) a low post presence, but not a rebounder. Chandler is never a low post presence but certainly a great rebounder.

The trade with the Bucks I don't like, either. Andrew Bogut is soft and will never be better than he is right now. He would be disliked in Detroit.

The Clippers trade is OK. Maggette is definitely a slasher we need, and Brand is a stud when healthy. That still doesn't give us a Center, though. I'd like to try and package something to get Kaman over here as well. Maybe Maxiell. It's also been rumored that Amir has grown to 6'11" this year, so he can play Center. Can you imagine?

PG - Stuckey
SG - Rip/Afflalo
SF - Tay/Maggette
PF - Brand/McDyess
C - Kaman/Amir/Samb?

I like number 5. Chandler plays with the intensity and energy that we're always lacking. When we lost Ben to Chicago, I thought he would be the perfect replacement. Instead NO got him for J.R. Smith (who was promptly cut) and P.J. Brown and we did a mid-level for Nazr. Yeah...NO won out of that group.

I like 5 the best, only because they would just lose Sheed and get some quality back for him. Then we could trade Maxiell (whose trade value will not likely ever be higher) for another big if possible. I dont want to break up Chaunce and Rip just yet, though the sentiment seems to be growing that this will indeed happen. 2 has some intrigue as well, becuz getting Brand would be huge, but losing Chaunce who has been face of the franchise since Ben left would hurt.
