Hi Mitch,

Thanks for reading and taking the time to comment. Congratulations on your Magic's big win. Yes, this column is opinionated (as editorial columns tend to be), and yes, the Magic split the *regular-season series.*. Quite an accomplishment.

I agree the Magic are on their way up; nowhere in this column did I express the opposite. As to your claims that I am exercising "tired thinking" in my assessments of the Pistons, I counter that you, sir, are the one marching out the tired cliches. You know the ones: the Pistons are old, the Pistons have tired legs, etc. Take a look at the roster, my friend, and let me know how much talented, youthful depth the 59-23 Pistons have been building. How many promising players under 25 years of age are the Magic employing, outside of Howard? At any rate, you're (obviously) speaking to a Pistons fan, one who's closely followed the team for well over 2 decades.

Best of luck in Game 4 to the Orlando Magic.

opinionated tripe. the 3 pointer absolutely changed momentum, I watched the game. and we split the series with Detroit this season, guess we just got lucky those 2 times? yet another example of someone writing from the past, unable to see that these pistons are not what they once were, getting old, tired legs. they are on the downhill ride it's just a question of when everyone will start to see it. Orlando is on the way up and if they're not better today, they will be very soon. Funny how when we blow them out it was us playing at the absolute best we can, but when they do it it's because they're just the better team. Philly took 2 from them PHILIDELPHIA? come on bandwagoneer, re-evaluate your tired thinking and actually admit that we sink the three's because that's What we do, we train for it.
