Yup they will need all of Kobe to pull out a victory over Utah, I still see us winning the series but it will be a way more competitive series then the Denver series.

What is truly amazing is that Kobe shot 1/6 from the field in the 3rd quarter. He shot an abysmal (for him) 4/10 from the line for the game. The wheels were falling off and the Nuggets were revitalized. But under the most intense pressure in the last 5:31 of the “money quarter”, he calmly turned a switch and reeled off 9 straight points and 14 total points. He played (like he almost always plays) amazing and relaxed at the time when 98% of players get tight sphincters. Kobe and Joe Johnson were amazing last night – but for MVP Kobe it was no surprise.

It was truly a treat to watch the lakers pull it out in the 4th quarter. As a laker fan who’s suffered through early playoff exits, Kwame, and Smush, it’s nice to finally see some real success. Everyone else was sleeping in my apartment, so it was hard to not jump up and scream every time Kobe hit ever-increasingly clutch shots down the stretch. It’s a shame Kobe is so polarizing, because so many people are letting their hate blind them from witnessing (and appreciating) one of the greatest basketball players of our time.

Kobe was truly amazing last night in the fourth quarter. Fun to watch. If he keeps playing like that, the lakers have a legitimate shot at the title.
