Well written and researched. The team is learning now the lessons of intensity in the 2nd half of the season and how much harder to win now. They are also learning how to win with key injuries. Maybe more importantly they are learning to trust each other and they really seem to like each other on and off the court.

You avoid the trap of so many writers who think the Blazers should trade young talent for proven veterans, noting that there is sufficient talent already here. In addition, Rudy Fernandez is tearing up the ACB in Spain this year and is considered the best player in Europe and is a Blazer draft pick from last year likely to play here next year. Thanks Brian for being "heads-up".

Are you trying to say Raef isn't worth $12 mil/yr??!

Nice story, we're pretty happy with what we have here in Portland. A few tweaks here and there, maybe a nice FA signing somewhere along the line, and I think the Blazers will be competitive for a decade.

They have Rudy Fernandez's rights too. I have followed him for years and he is far more consistent and talented than Sergio Rodriguez for example. He will be a nice adittion.

Thanks for reading, Ken. We're actually big fans of Brandon Roy and have enjoyed following the Blazers all season.

Surprise surprise; a real feel-good article on the Blazers from ETB. Either the Blazers PR Dept. or Henry Abbott must have bribed you guys into writing this.
