Obviously you have not seen Jarrett Jack play. He is a true PG who has the size and strength to body SG. He was the heart and soul of GT for 2 seasons and he led them to the NCAA Championship in 2004 against a stacked UCONN team. Tony Yu, watch more basketball before you speak. And don't try to compare Conley's NCAA success to Jarrett's because Conley had Oden, while Jack had no one.

First Thing's FIRST, if Atlanta passes on Conley, they screwed themselves. That's all I need to say.

Jack is just a two-guard, and putting him in Atlanta will make his entire career meaningless. Atlanta will not go anywhere if they pick up Jack. So he's from Georgia Tech..big deal!! He cannot consistently create for teamates and will struggle down the stretch. He'll bust himself into Speedy Claxton level. Those Hawks should just sell themselves to Winnipeg unless they toss out Billy "Dumbass" Knight!

If Portland pulls this off, they will fleece Atlanta as they did with Boston and Minnesota.

I totally agree. Jack's strengths are mitigated by Roy and Rodriguez's skill set. I also think any title contender in today's NBA needs an elite wing defender, somebody who can guard the opponent's best SG/SF. I don't have a hard time imagining Corey Brewer developing into that type of player.

The inside combination of Oden's defense and Aldridge's smooth offense is extremely compelling, and paired with Roy outside there's the makings of an elite core with only two positions to fill in PG and SF (ideally talented but complimentary role players with strong specific skill sets). I'm really excited with the direction of the Blazers because over the last few years I've adopted Portland, Boston and Atlanta as my bandwagons to get on before there is a bandwagon. Let's get Zach out of the picture (for fair value) and the Jailblazers will be a thing of the past with annual playoff appearances on the horizon.

If the Blazers would rather have Acie Law than Jarrett Jack I would be fine with that. I think Law has some very nice potential and it seemed as though Jack resented all the attention Sergio Rodriguez got last year. The more I think about it the more I think Atlanta would be willing to trade their #11 straight up for Jack. It would allow them to pass on Conley at #3 and take either Brandon Wright or Al Horford. Plus, Jack is a local product.

Now if the Blazers could also trade Zach Randolph to get Corey Brewer that would be the final piece of the puzzle. Maybe a trade with Milwaukie or Chicago could accomplish that. Without Randolph the Blazers would be thin at power forward, but 4 second draft picks could help with that. Guys like Nick Fazekas, Glen Davis and Sean Williams should be available in the 2nd round. I think the Blazers might trade Dickau and one of their second round picks for a higher second round pick to help get the guys they want.

I like the idea of a Blazer roster next year looking something like this:

PG: Sergio Rodriguez, Acie Law, Taurean Green
SG: Brandon Roy, Martell Webster, Fred Jones
SF: Ime Udoka, Corey Brewer, Jared Dudley
PF: LaMarcus Aldridge, Nick Fazekas, Glen Davis
C: Greg Oden, Joel Przybilla, Raef LaFrentz

I think the Blazers will pass on re-signed Outlaw as he will probably be able to get more somewhere else.

Also, I'm hoping Darius Miles either retires or Paul Allen buys him out of his contract so he is no longer on the roster.
