Pacman Jones Still America’s Greatest Hero

June 6, 2007

Role Model

Shame on Ron Mexico for usurping attention from Pacman Jones. Participating in and possibly helping run a dogfighting ring is pretty solid news in the NFL Embarasses Itself section, but here at ETB, we judge offseason shenanigans based on the body of work, not just one incident.

So with all due apologies to Mr. Mexico and his noble attempts to overthrow King Jones from his rightful throne, we hereby pay homage to the master for staring down his competition and showing them who’s boss when it comes to poor decision making.

Just a month or so removed from his meeting with NFL commish Roger Goodell–a meeting in which he promised to change his felonious ways–American Hero Pacman Jones has resurfaced after causing a ruckus at, of all places, R. Kelly’s record-release party for Double Up. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: you just can’t make this stuff up. Here’s the eyewitness account, from an email sent to MediaTakeOut.com:

Pac Man Jones, the NFL so called star was crazy at this party!!! He threw bottles into the crowd for no reason at all and hit random people while R Kelly is performing! [He also] got in this guys face to start a fight. [His antics] almost ruined R Kelly’s performance.

On top of that, this guy choose Khia, the rapper, to kiss on in VIP…eggghhhh!!!

[At one point during the night] me and my peeps thought it was a chance we was going to get into with this guy cuz of the rude things he was doing!! Throwing up Gang signs galore.

It’s just sad to see in person. Someone who is throwing away all that talent in the trash!! He hasn’t learned a damn thing!!

To recap, Pacman Jones allegedly threw bottles into the crowd, hit people with bottles, tried to start a fight, made out with an unsightly female rapper, and threw up “gang signs galore.” So don’t tell us Jones isn’t a hard-worker, folks: we’d like to see you accomplish all that in just one night.
