And Troy Murphy deserves mention. Only a little over $8 mil this year, but with $42 over the next four years still to come, the guy is an albatross. Dalembert's deal also cannot be overlooked. Garnett is a better basketball player than Marbury, no doubt. But Garnett is the highest paid player in the NBA and he can't even get his team into the playoffs or sellout the arena while the owner hemorrhages money. Marbury is selling tickets, they might make the playoffs and the Knicks are seeing some kind of return on their investment in him.
