You Know It’s a Slow Day in the NBA When…

Luke, an NBA player

HoopsHype is a fantastic resource for NBA odds and ends (stats, salaries, rosters, etc), but especially for their daily aggregation of NBA-related articles. If you haven’t checked it out, please do so.

Today, however, the good people at HoopsHype have submitted their collective yawn over yesterday’s goings on in the NBA. Their lead story? “Schenscher to Portland.”

Luke Schenscher will be called up by the Portland Trailblazers on Thursday for a 10-day contract, D-League sources told Mike Schmidt this evening. The Australian 7-footer averaged 9.6 points and 7 rebounds per game this season in 23 minutes playing for the Fort Worth Flyers, and will get his second stint in the NBA after playing 20 games in the 2005-2006 season with the Chicago Bulls.

In other news this morning, the sun came up, cups of coffee were poured and drank, and commuters got stuck in a traffic jam. Also, Phil Jackson doesn’t enjoy witch hunts.
