Flea Waxes Poetic About the NBA
February 14, 2007
Red Hot Chili Pepper’s bassist Flea has been blogging about the NBA for NBA.com lately. Now, we’re not sure if he just doesn’t know where/how to insert line breaks, or if he’s trying to compose some sort of elaborate, misguided haiku with each and every post. Take this passage about LA Lakers Center Andrew Bynum, for example:
if he wants, if he chooses, he could be one of the greatest centers ever
but he has got to make that choice
to work when he would rather not
to place the importance of his basketball ability over many other
things that might seem more fun at the time
including money
though of course that will be plentiful if he gives his all on the
hardwood
They all read like that—seriously. No grammar, no punctuation, no capitalization, nothing. Maybe no big deal, but it makes me cringe more than season 2 of Extras.
